How is a service funnel different from an online store's?

A longer cycle (three weeks to three months), multiple decision-makers (the user, the budget approver, the recipient), and trust — rather than discounts — driving the decision. In that gap, the lead forgets you unless you remind them.

Where's the biggest leak in a service funnel?

Usually between proposal and decision — silence after the proposal is sent. The cheapest fix is a reminder in the calendar. Other common leaks: quoting a price in minute five, and no clear next step on the website.

How do we handle cold, warm, and hot leads?

Cold needs education, so give content, not a proposal. Warm is comparing, so show your difference. Hot just wants final confirmation; there, speed and clarity are everything — one day's delay can hand the project to a competitor.
