How do we connect WhatsApp to a CRM?

Four ways from simple to complex: a separate work number, manually logging a summary of each conversation, WhatsApp Business with labels, and an API connection. For most Iranian businesses, combining the second and third — with a one-rule summary habit — is enough and workable right now.

What should we record from WhatsApp conversations?

The sufficient minimum: name, number, the topic of the request, the latest agreement, and the next action date. Not the full chat, not personal details. The goal is organizational memory, not an archive; every field beyond this reduces the odds of it being logged at all.

How fast should WhatsApp responses be?

During working hours, under an hour is a fair target; a blue tick followed by hours of silence reads as indifference. If you can't answer promptly, send a short acknowledging reply — a read receipt with silence is the most damaging combination.
